SYNOPSIS

"28th June, 1491 was a momentous day for England. Sadly England did not realise it at the time. I came kicking and squalling into this world, full of vigour, full of strength and hearty of lungs. God be witness to this, what was the first thing they did? Put me to the breast. Now I ask you... what chance did a man have of growing up to be indifferent to women when they did that!"

With these words his Majesty King Henry VIII, arguably the most powerful English king, strides onto the pages of this remarkable book. In conversation with the woman he believes to be the reincarnation of katherine of Aragon, he recounts the real events surrounding his six wives; his regrets, his triumphs and his disasters. In coruscating detail he relives the moment he fell in love with his brother's wife and how all that befell him and his beloved England stemmed from that moment.

By turns acerbic, witty, brutal and sensitive, Henry VIII stands revealed at last - but beware, he is not happy with how history has treated him!

      • Fascinating story. Some very different insights to other books I've
read about this King. Will have to read more by this author to
understand whether this is knowledge or a gift she has a Medium - on
I'd like to believe the Queens have really been having their say on
matters, at last! 5 out of 5 (Devlin)

SYNOPSIS

Channelling their own words through the author, each of Henry VIII’s Queens takes it in turn to portray the King in a somewhat different light to what you may have already heard or read.

From Katherine to Katherine – the ladies have their say about Henry: the lies, the facts, the reality of being Queen of England and consort to His Majesty King Henry VIII.

Author Dorothy Davies is a well-known and respected Medium, who has channelled the words of many characters – some famous, some not so. In this, her latest work, we garner refreshing insights into the life in the Court of King Henry VIII and the fates of those unlucky enough to have fallen in love (or into bed) with him!

SYNOPSIS

Remember, remember the Fifth of November/Gunpowder, Treason and Plot
but do we really know the truth behind that most famous of attempts to blow up the Houses of Parliament? Is Guy Fawkes the evil fiend we have been led to believe he is?

In this book, dictated by Guy Fawkes himself, the reader is shown a different person, a devout, almost monkish young man who was drawn into the conspiracy through his own fanatical faith. Here is the true story of the so-called plot, Guy's unfortunate part in it, the truth about his torture and trial, and his execution.

History is about to be rewritten!

SYNOPSIS

Mention of the name, Judas Iskariot, surely brings to the mind one of the most maligned and hated people of the last two thousand years. Yet, as you are about to discover, all that he did was ordained for him to do; he carried the burden of his ‘betrayal’ with strength and dignity. Put aside any preconceived ideas you may have about `the betrayer` and discover a very different Judas to the one taught in schools and churches around the world.

In Judas’ own words:

This, my life story, is dedicated with the greatest and most overwhelming love any man can give another, to Jesus himself. I followed him with love when we walked the earth plane; I give him my love and service now.

And to my channel, Dorothy, who welcomed me and accepted me and gave me her time and her love. Thank you. It is impossible to say more.

SYNOPSIS

As a medium I am used to spirits walking in and working with me. There are a lot of books out there with my name on, all of which have been dictated by spirit authors. Richard Laymon arrived some time before we actually began work on the novel he wanted to write: he was just there, a companion whilst I fought my way through the process of getting the first channelled book into the public arena. Once the book was published, he began hinting that it would be rather fun to begin something which was not historical, which we did. We then started to write what felt like a non-stop stream of short stories which have been published in anthologies, both print and on-line. Richard asked me to collect them into a separate anthology as we worked.

In my computer the file was marked ‘Richard’s anthology’, knowing that sooner or later the right title would appear. I thought for a while it would be When Our Graves Grow Cold, initially the first story in the collection (and my all time favourite) but it didn’t happen because Bela Lugosi arrived to collaborate on the novel (which explained why it stalled for some weeks, the two men were in discussions) and I went looking at Bela’s official website. His startling image and unmistakeable voice saying ‘I bid you welcome...’ was all I needed - we had at last pinned down a title.

Bela wrote stories with me, as did many others who walked in, smiling, offering their tales of death and destruction. Some only came once, having said what they wanted to say, others returned to give me more stories. My grateful thanks go to Roald Dahl, Edith Wharton, Charles L Grant, Virgil Grissom and Yul Brynner for their welcome contributions. Most of the collection was written by Richard Laymon, that I know. There was no mistaking the oft-times evil chuckle when he wrote something particularly gory...!

The invitation is sent out. Richard, Bela, all the other contributing writers and I bid you welcome to a set of stories that will, we trust, entertain and possibly chill you as you read late at night.

Enjoy.
